NetTutor Online Tutoring
UMKC Online has a contract with an online tutoring service called NetTutor. This free service to students offers a variety of modes to get online help. Some of the course content tutoring that is being supported for UMKC students by NetTutor includes the following:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Calculus
- Physics
- Statistics
- Writing
- Spanish
- Nursing

You can now interact with tutors via audio and/or webcam by asking your tutor to enable it during the session.

Troubleshooting
If you are having trouble using NetTutor, there are three ways to get help:
Customer Support Request Link – In the NetTutor system, there is a customer service support link where you are taken to a form to fill out. A customer service representative will respond as soon as possible.
Emailing Customer Service – You can also email customer service at support@linksystems.atlassian.net.
- Please include your name, UMKC SSO, and list University of Missouri-Kansas City as the institution. In your message, please be as specific as possible about the issue you are experience.
Calling Customer Service – You may also call NetTutor ((813) 674-0600 extension 204) Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.
The UMKC Writing Studio provides expert, individualized assistance with a variety of writing assignments. One-on-one peer consultation is provided free of charge to undergraduate and graduate students on-campus or online. There are additional writing resources available to graduate students through the School of Graduate Studies, UMKC Libraries, and the Blackboard organization site “Writing Resources for Graduate Students.”

UMKC Tutoring
UMKC Tutoring is dedicated to providing individual tutoring for students at UMKC. Trained, part-time student tutors offer free assistance to all UMKC students. Students may work individually or in small groups with tutors. One-on-one appointments are available, or students may see tutors on a walk-in basis.
