Why use Qualtrics?

Qualtrics is available to all UMKC faculty, staff, and students. To access Qualtrics, go to and log in with your UMKC credentials.

Qualtrics Support

Qualtrics Support has a large selection of online tutorials prepared by Qualtrics, covering both basic and advanced tools.

Qualtrics Webinars are available with live and pre-recorded sessions on many Qualtrics functions and capabilities.

If you have questions or issues that aren’t resolved by using the Qualtrics Support links above, please contact Instructional Design & Technology.

Add-ons are available for Qualtrics for an additional fee. To learn more about Qualtrics add-ons and pricing, please visit UMKC Site-Licensing Support or contact UMKC Software.

This is the support page for non-research REDCap projects.

If your project is for any of the following purposes, use the REDCap installation managed by the Center for Health Insights (CHI) .

  • Human subjects or biomedical research
  • Psychological or behavioral research
  • Any project that has, or is seeking IRB approvals and publication.

The CHI offers templates for grant proposals, IRB submissions and a schedule of REDCap training events that are available for all REDCap projects, including those that do not involve the above research types.

What is REDCap?

REDCap is a secure, web-based application for building and managing online surveys and databases. Using REDCap’s stream-lined process for rapidly developing projects, you may create and design projects using 1) the online method from your web browser using the Online Designer; and/or 2) the offline method by constructing a ‘data dictionary’ template file in Microsoft Excel, which can be later uploaded into REDCap. Both surveys and databases (or a mixture of the two) can be built using these methods.

REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.

Non-Research REDCap Login Portal

Note: All that is required to use REDCap is a UMKC SSO (single sign on). Additional registration is not required.
