It is with regret that we announce the departure of Instructional Technologist Lauren Mathiott. Lauren came to UMKC Online in 2017 and worked on a number of important initiatives such as the Canvas LMS transition, BioSig authentication, faculty certification, and NetTutor. During her tenure at UMKC, she also taught for the Propel program. Lauren will be joining KU Health Systems as an EMR/EPIC Trainer.
“We are very happy that Lauren will be moving onward to her new position, but she will leave big shoes to fill,” Molly Mead, Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Innovation, said. “We will miss Lauren’s professionalism and empathy in her position as Instructional Technologist. On behalf of everyone in UMKC ID/T, we all wish Lauren the best in her future endeavors.”
As a result of Lauren’s departure, we have begun the hiring process for the vacant position.
